London, UK – Flow Health Science announced that Klario® has been named a finalist in the American Diabetes Association (ADA) Innovation Challenge 2026, one of the most respected platforms for emerging innovation in global diabetes care.
The announcement marks a significant step in Klario®'s journey. Today, it is commercially available, backed by peer-reviewed research, and recognised on an international stage as a meaningful advance in hypoglycemia care — having moved from clinical validation to a launched product within a year.
Klario is designed to support recovery after a hypoglycaemic episode beyond glucose correction alone, and has been studied in a 12-week randomised trial of more than 1,000 real-world hypoglycemic episodes. Use of Klario was associated with a 27% reduction in recurrent hypoglycaemia and significantly faster cognitive recovery compared to glucose-only products. These findings reflect a growing recognition that recovery from a hypo involves more than restoring blood glucose to a safe level.

Klario®: A Novel Approach to Hypoglycaemia Management
Hypoglycemia represents a critical therapeutic challenge in diabetes management: people with T1D may experience 100–200 treatment-related episodes annually.
